Friday, April 3, 6:00 pm in the Worship Center
Join us on Good Friday for a service reflecting on the conflict between light and darkness as Christ was crucified. On this holy day we contemplate the suffering of Christ on the cross for us.
On April 3, the North Phoenix worship ministry will be presenting a Good Friday service that includes the Requiem by John Rutter. This choral masterwork with chamber instrumental ensemble is a musical reflection on the truth that even in life we are faced with the reality of death.
As opposed to the typical Requiem, this work is not simply a mass for the dead. It is an opportunity to see that even in the darkest hour of our Savior, the light of hope shines through for those of us who know the final outcome. You will be taken on a musical journey that will help you remember Christ’s death and see the beauty and life that is present even there.
We will also take communion as part of this service as a way to remember Jesus' death, as He commanded us.
Please come and remember our Savior’s death on Good Friday with the anticipation of the celebration of his victory over death on Easter Sunday.
Preschool care available. Call 602-707-5732 to make reservations.
The church offices will be closed Friday, April 3 in observance of Good Friday.
